I am so stoked about how this project turned out!! In fact I am laying comfortably on this particular project as I write this post :)
Here's the breakdown of my materials:
9 (free!) palettes found at the back of target.
Light brown durable material (still have leftovers) snagged from a local estate sale for $20
Two pieces of plywood to cover the tops of the palettes (so cushions don't snag)
Dark stain - 1 gallon from hardware store (went during a $5 off sale)
Polyurethane - 1 gallon (same sale)
3" foam scores off First Congregational church's annual rummage sale - $2.50 (and I still have about 10ft left over!)
I sure hope some other crafty individual reads this to know that even when foam is on sale at at a craft store, I would have spent at least $200! So that was the ultimate steal. I was almost planning on de-stuffin goodwill pillows!! Saved pillows lives right there.
So that's my project! All that is left to do right now is sew on my random big buttons on the ends of the cushions (for easy cleaning) and cut the plywood down to size!
Doesn't matter though - still usable at the moment!
Hope you enjoy the post and more to come soon! (I still have 6 more palettes in the garage!)
